Crydra is the second hydra boss you need to fight inCore Keeper. You must defeat Druidra before you can face Crydra, but you can see it traveling on the map if you craft the scanner early. Here's where to find, how to summon, and win against Crydra the Ice Titan inCore Keeper.

Where to Find Crydra the Ice Titan inCore Keeper

Crydra lurks under the waves in the Sunken Sea, but also traverses under the small landmasses found throughout the region. Using the scanner is the easiest way to find it, and you'll typically need a boat to reach a close location to it. To make the Crydra the Ice Titan scanner at the Ancient Hologram Pod you'll need:

• x10 Ancient Gemstone
• x10 Mechanical Part
• x10 Octarine Bar
• x3 Radiation Crystal

Using the scanner at the Core will still register Crydra's location, but further away than that it may not. The scanner is only consumed when Crydra's movements are marked on the map.

How to Summon Crydra inCore Keeper

Using the Hydra Altar like you did for Druidra, you'll need to create the Wind Organ of Ice. This requires the eye of Druidra to complete, solidifying the order you have to face the hydras in.

• x1 Pink Hydra Eye

You'll most likely have obtained an Ocean Sapphire while completing the Shimmering Frontier arena. If not, you'll need to find another one, this time attached to the Sunken Sea biome.

Once the Wind Organ of Ice is crafted, head to the open ocean. You can use it on the water or on land, as long as you're close to Crydra's current location.

How to Win Against Crydra |Core KeeperBoss Fight Best Strategy

Getting ready to face off against Crydra is a bit more intense than the other two hydras. This comes down to deciding where you want to summon it, on the water or on land. Both have their pros and cons and come with very different strategies.

Preparing Equipment and Supplies

If you want to remain on your boat to increase mobility and area of combat, place the Wind Organ of Ice in the water. This also allows you to use both ranged and melee options well, though minions probably won't work in this situation. You also won't have your pet available when on the boat.

Summoning Crydra on an island means you have limited space to run around. You will definitely need ranged options when it moves away from land, but you can use minions. Your pet will also spawn on land. Having a higher stock of healing potions is a good idea since you may take more damage due to the confined space.

Either way you want to have high defense items that are reinforced and food that will give you a magic barrier.

Crydra Attacks

Crydra uses some of the same attacks as Druidra, with new ones thrown in. You'll also find yourself facing off against two hydras, with a shadow of Druidra backing up Crydra. The shadow acts independently and uses all its own attacks, except summoning a centipede, but doesn't take any damage if you attack it.

• Laser Beam: This beam can extend quite a distance and will follow you.
• Chomp: It bites you when in melee range.
• Ice Crystal: Spits a large crystal that shoots out ice charges in a line from two sides.

Strategy 1 — Boat Combat

When summoning Crydra on water you'll want to have the fastest boat to give you extra mobility. You may also want to equip theCoral Ringto get an extra boost to your speed. You'll be primarily using ranged attacks in combat, but can zoom in with melee options when Crydra's shield goes down. You will still have to content with the shadow's attacks, but you can avoid them by moving around the downed hydra as you attack.

For Warlocks, you may want to change your build for this fight as you won't be able to summon your typical minions. Focus on ranged magic to take advantage of your current skills, if possible.

Strategy 2 — Land Combat

When picking a land location to summon Crydra, you want to select a spot that can allow you to avoid multiple laser beams from different angles without running into the edge. It should be flat and without spaces that impede your mobility, so come with a pickaxe or additional blocks to fill in holes and extend the traversable space.

Crydra will often move around the water, though it stays close enough to always be hit with ranged attacks. This is the method I utilized, primarily sticking with my Flintlock. The only time I switched out to a melee weapon was if it fell on land. I spent most of the fight moving around to avoid attacks, so using potions or food that increases ranged damage will shorten the battle immensely.

Even though you may select one space to summon the boss, that doesn't mean you need to stick with it. You can always hop on your boat mid-fight if you're taking too much damage and need more area to maneuver.
