Empower Staff with Decision-Making. Do you want your staff to really invest in their job? Involve them in decision-making processes and seek their input on matters that affect their roles or the practice as a whole. Empowering staff members to contribute to important decisions fosters a sense of ownership and investment in the practice's success. It works! Ask me how I know. Tina@toppractices.com

You shouldn't have to worry about whether or not your benefits are effective (or attractive).Business leaders have enough on their plates without wasting time and money on benefits that simply don't serve your employees or appeal to qualified candidates.Learn how choosing strategic people-first benefits will allow you to effectively invest in your team and reassure them (and potential hires) that you actually care about their health and well-being.https://lnkd.in/d7-5Qhi2

Many new innovations have been successfully incorporated into business practices in these past few years, however I can't imagine "flat" non-heirarchical structures being effective. While some managerial roles are questionable, I don't believe the total dispersion of responsibility is an achievable solution. It sounds ideal for the sake of equity, but could never work in terms of equality. Should we eschew positions of management? I don't believe so, what do you think? #management

One topic that keeps coming up as I am talking to execs this time of year is the somewhat-ironic “use it or lose it” dimensionality to budgets. Even if it isn’t explicitly articulated, leaving unused budget behind can be met with additional scrutiny for future budget requests. Now, I am not promoting this backward incentive structure, especially not in this market environment, but…If you do have budget remaining for 2023 and want to invest in a new platform that will give you exponential returns - talk to me. Getting started with Teamble today will allow you to cut 65-85% time spent next year running performance reviews across your entire organization. And that is only one of the value-adds. The lift in development your employees will see, increase in transparency your culture will get, depth of analytics you’ll be able to run, will all combine to yield a significantly more efficient and effective organization. We are empowering executive and HR teams alike to be better prepared for the volatile talent and financial markets that we find ourselves in. Partnering with us now could just be the thing that gives you the data-backed confidence you’ll want when making multi-million dollar decisions over the next few years.

Employees. Can't live with them or live without them. That's how the saying goes, right?Whether you think that's true or not, I think every great company needs employees. If you don't have employees, you are the employee. You've pretty much just gotten yourself another job.Sometimes that's how I felt when I started my consulting business.Although I still do 99% of my consulting work, I begin to ask myself...How do I scale my business?I'm used to answering this questions for clients but taking my own advice is something I've been practicing a lot lately. Even before adding employees, the goal is to have the right systems, services and processes in place so I can teach the right person. That's the case with most businesses.Once you have the right systems, processes, products (or services) in place, YOU CAN SCALE ANYTHING!-> Sometimes you need to hire some help so you have time to work on those things.ps. There are 2 reasons you aren’t experiencing momentum in actions needed even after hiring a consultant. One. You viewed the consultant as the sole solutionist instead of leveraging them as an expert to empower leaders and employees to be a solutionist. Two. Your organization had a fixed view on what your problem was, and limited the ability for your consultant to gather a true current state assessment. The reality is: Most companies hire consultants because they limit the capabilities of what their employees can do.This isn’t a dig on companies or any leader. This is an opportunity to ensure that when you partner with a consultant, that you ensure they include the expertise and perspective of the leader and the employee in their current state findings. The strategic plan alone is not effective enough to assume that employees are clear on their directives. According to Professor Kaplan and Norton, only 5% of employees are clear on understanding their company’s strategy. Review your current practices around how you develop partnerships with consultants and ask yourself: Am I setting priority to ensure employees are engaged for their perspective? Or am I limiting how solutions are developed? #innovationmanagement #workplaceculture #makeworkfeelgood
